The Real One is a playbook of principles, not pickup lines. 7 chapters, built on relationship research, from two mates who’ve fumbled it too. Under an hour to read.
§01The problem
Still ghosted after doing the work.
Trained this morning. Closed a client this arvo. Still sitting in the car, wondering why that wasn’t enough.
Same text, typed and deleted six times.
Acting unbothered, you stopped reaching out. Nobody reached back.
Her story: you’ve checked if she watched it. Twice.
Going well, then it faded. You still don’t know why.
Nearly every guy goes through this. Nothing’s wrong with you. Nobody taught you the principles.
Self-improvement makes you attractive. It doesn’t teach you how to connect. Connecting is a skill. So is pacing it, and so is leading. Skills can be learned.
of 554 adults in one US study “reported that they had been ghosted by a prior romantic partner.”
About one in four. It happens to good guys too.
Freedman et al., Journal of Social and Personal Relationships, 2019. US adults, average age about 33.1
Photo slot · still lifeClose-up: a phone face-down on a car’s centre console, next to gym keys and a protein shaker. Night, one warm light source (a streetlight or the dash). Shot on a phone is fine. Grainy, warm, not staged-looking. No people. Export 1200×1500, warm house treatment.

§02Right now
Right now is when it’s decided.
Talking to someone? It gets decided in the next few small moments, not on some big date.
Tonight
“Haha yeah” is her reply. You stare at it for twenty minutes. What you send next keeps it going, or quietly ends it.
This weekend
A real plan, or “we should hang sometime”. Only one of those turns into a date. Nobody has ever hung sometime.
The next few weeks
She’s deciding if you’re someone she wants around, or just another guy in her DMs. She’s got plenty of those.
Three months from now
Official. Or you’re watching her story, and someone else is in it.
Not trying to scare you. It just means the small stuff you do this week counts.
Most guys learn this the hard way, by losing the one who mattered. You can learn it from one short read instead.
The girl worth keeping won’t stay single long. Not because girls hold all the cards. Because sooner or later, somebody shows up properly for her. Make it you.
54%
Feeling overwhelmed by the number of messages was “far more common among women than men (54% vs. 25%).”
Cold texts, fake busy, acting like you don’t care. You tried it. It felt off, and it didn’t work.
That’s not you failing. Red Pill had real ideas: be busy, be assertive, have standards. Then it turned them up to ten for views. We teach them at the volume that works when you want a relationship.
They weren’t wrong about this. They just took it too far.
Not because you’re a bad guy. Everyone said it works. Fair enough. Here’s why it didn’t.
Why it failed
She’s seen that move for three years. Silence with no warmth doesn’t read as mysterious. It reads as not interested.
She’s not short of options, either. On the apps in the US, guys mostly feel ignored and girls mostly feel swamped. Going quiet on someone who’s swamped doesn’t make you stand out. It makes you disappear.
Every day you go quiet to look unbothered, somebody else doesn’t.
Being vague fails the same way. Most women on the apps say they want to know what you’re after.
What works instead
Reply like you care, then lead. Pace it with warmth. Self-respect isn’t silence.
Don’t
use silence as a weapon.
Do
be clear about what you want, and stay relaxed about it.
72%
“…of women say it was very important to them that the profiles they looked at included the type of relationship the person was looking for, compared with about half of men (53%).”

§05What works
Happy couples still argue. They just do it differently.
Cold advice gets this backwards. In couples research, staying warm when things get tense goes with happier relationships.
This research is on established couples, not first dates. We use it for what it shows about what lasts.
How couples argue
Howyou argue
Not ifyou argue
It’s not whether you argue, it’s how. Hostility is linked to unhappier relationships and break-ups; staying warm and solving the problem are linked to happier ones.
Meta-analyses of couples: Woodin, Journal of Family Psychology, 2011; Kanter et al., Journal of Marriage and Family, 2021.4
In practiceYou disagree, or she’s annoyed with you? Skip the sarcasm and the point-scoring. Stay warm and sort out the actual problem. It’s you two against the problem.
Built on relationship research. Written so you can use it the day it lands.

§07The long game
Long-term isn’t on her mind yet.
That’s normal. At the start she’s just seeing how it feels. Nobody picks forever over a first coffee.
But how you show up can make her think:
maybe I want something real with this guy.
That doesn’t come from a speech on date one. It comes from showing up the same way each time, being clear about what you want, leading the plan, and noticing small things.
Long-term isn’t announced. She starts to feel it.
Girls want the real thing too. They’re just drowning in guys who put in zero effort. Be the one who shows up.
Find the girl who wants something real too, and build it together.
Photo slot · no facesTwo guys from behind, walking along a city waterfront at dusk. Or hands only: two laptops, two coffees and a training log on a café table. No faces, no names, nothing that identifies you. Phone camera is fine. Black and white or the warm house tone. Export 1200×1500.
The two of us.
§09A note from us
A note from the two of us
Two mates from Perth, that’s us. We train, we’re building things, and we’ve both fumbled girls we really liked.
Not from not caring. We cared and didn’t know what to do with it.
This is the playbook we wish we’d had. No lines, no games. Just how to be the guy she wants to keep.

§12Questions
Questions before you buy.
What’s the difference between Core and the Complete Bundle?
Core is the full 7-chapter playbook at A$29. The Complete Bundle, A$59, adds the Situations Vault, Date Bank Plus (each date turned into a full plan: what to do, how to adapt it, what to talk about) and a month in the community.
Is the founding price real? What happens on 16 Nov?
Yes. A$59 until 11:59pm AWST Sun 15 Nov. Then it’s A$99, and it stays there.
When do I get it?
Preorder. The Core Playbook is being finished now and will be delivered to your email by Friday 13 November 2026. If we miss that date, or you change your mind before delivery, you get a full refund, processed within 5 business days. Just email team@therealone.com.au.

What if it’s not for me?
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law always apply, and nothing on this page limits them. Email team@therealone.com.au and a real person will reply.
Is this pickup lines or scripts?
No. Not one line to copy and paste. It’s principles, so you can read a moment and work out what to do. Lines run out. Principles don’t.
Will the dates work where I live?
Yes. The Date Bank is 18 date types that work in any city, with search terms to find each one near you.
Why 18+?
It’s about adult relationships, so the playbook, the waitlist and our DMs are 18+ only. You’ll confirm it here and again at checkout.
Is this anti-women? Is it Red Pill?
Neither. Women are people to understand, not a game to win. Some Red Pill ideas were right: have a life, have standards, be assertive. They just got taken too far for views, so we teach the version that works.
Is it backed by research?
Yes, it’s built on relationship research, from meta-analyses of how couples handle conflict to Pew data on how young people date. Every stat on this page links to its source below. It’s still an educational guide, not a promise.
Who’s behind it?
Two mates from Perth. We train, build businesses and have fumbled girls we really liked. Not gurus, not 40-year-old coaches. We keep our names off it on purpose: it’s about what works, not about us.
Will it get me a girlfriend?
No guarantee, and nobody honest can promise one. She’s a person, not an outcome. It teaches you to show up properly. What you do with it is up to you.

43%
43% of young Australians aged 15 to 25 feel lonely. That’s more than two in five young people.
If it’s been feeling that way for you, you’re far from the only one.
